Posting Guidelines

workDMV is built to keep job listings simple, local, and trustworthy. These guidelines ensure listings stay useful for everyone.
What to Do
- Post real, current job opportunities
- Be clear and honest about the role, pay, and expectations
- Include accurate location information
- Only post jobs that are truly based in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region
- Hybrid jobs must include an in-person component in the DMV region
- Write clean, readable job descriptions
- Respond to applicants in a reasonable timeframe
What Not to Do
- No spam, fake jobs, or misleading listings
- No jobs based outside the DMV unless clearly marked as approved remote roles
- No commission-only roles without clear disclosure
- No pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing, or “business opportunities”
- No duplicate postings of the same job
- No excessive formatting, ALL CAPS, or keyword stuffing
- No collecting applicant data for unrelated purposes
Moderation
Listings may be reviewed and removed at any time if they violate these guidelines or do not meet the standards of the platform.
Repeat Violations
Accounts that repeatedly violate these guidelines may be suspended or permanently removed.
