Welcome to workDMV. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the workDMV website, employer tools, job listings, forms, profiles, communications, and any paid services or features offered by WorkDMV LLC ("workDMV," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the platform, or by submitting, purchasing, editing, or managing a listing, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility and Authority

You must be at least 18 years old to use workDMV. If you submit, edit, purchase, or manage a listing on behalf of a business or another person, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to do so and to bind that business or person to these Terms.

2. Nature of the Platform

workDMV is a private publishing and listing platform. We are not a staffing agency, recruiter, hiring agent, law firm, payroll provider, or guarantor of any employer, applicant, listing, profile, communication, or outcome. We provide a venue for listings and related information, subject to our review and editorial standards.

3. Submission Accuracy and Employer Responsibility

You are solely responsible for all content you submit, including job title, compensation, classification, duties, location, schedule, requirements, contact information, and any claims or representations in the listing. You represent and warrant that:

  • the listing is accurate, current, and not misleading;
  • the position is real and lawfully available;
  • you have authority to post the listing;
  • the listing complies with all applicable employment, wage-and-hour, anti-discrimination, advertising, privacy, and consumer-protection laws;
  • the listing does not infringe or misuse any third party’s rights.

You must promptly update or correct any information that becomes inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misleading.

4. Manual Review and Sole Editorial Discretion

All submissions are subject to human review. Submission of a listing does not guarantee publication.

workDMV may, at any time and in its sole discretion, approve, reject, refuse to publish, delay, request revisions, edit for clarity or formatting, suspend, unpublish, remove, or reclassify any listing or content, with or without notice.

We are not obligated to publish any submission or explain our decisions.

5. Requested Corrections, Verification, and Failure to Respond

workDMV may require corrections, clarification, or verification before or after publication.

If workDMV requests corrections, clarification, or verification, the submitter must respond within the timeframe specified by workDMV. workDMV may determine what constitutes a reasonable response timeframe based on the circumstances.

If the submitter does not respond in a timely manner, or if the listing remains inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, unverifiable, or otherwise unsuitable in workDMV’s judgment, workDMV may decline publication or remove the listing without further obligation.

6. Fees, Paid Listings, Publication, and Refunds

  • Paid listings are subject to review and are not guaranteed to be published.
  • If a paid listing is rejected or not published before going live, the applicable listing fee will be refunded.
  • If a listing has already been published or made live, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
  • A refund for an unpublished listing is the submitter’s sole and exclusive remedy.

7. Regional Focus

workDMV primarily serves Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Listings outside this region may be declined.

8. Content Standards

Listings must not be misleading, unlawful, discriminatory, spammy, or inappropriate. workDMV may reject or remove listings that do not meet quality or relevance standards.

Listings must also comply with our Guidelines, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Listing Integrity

Minor edits may be made for clarity or formatting. Major role changes may require a new submission.

10. License to Content

By submitting content, you grant workDMV a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute it.

11. No Guarantees

workDMV does not guarantee job matches, hiring outcomes, or accuracy of listings.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

13. Limitation of Liability

WorkDMV LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Total liability is limited to the amount paid for the listing.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WorkDMV LLC from claims related to your listing or use of the platform.

15. Termination

workDMV may suspend or terminate access at any time for any reason.

16. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Maryland law.
